Bigg's - Scenario Idea for Cereal & Milk Deal (9/8)

With all the great tips on the Bigg's Cereal & Milk deal, I thought I'd just share one scenario I came up with which might make for a great deal.

Buy 10 boxes of Regular Cheerios = 20.00

Buy 3 boxes of either Multigrain Cheerios or Cocoa Puffs = 6.00

Buy 3 Gallons of Milk

You'll get 5.00 off automatically for buying $25 worth of GM products

You'll get the 3 milks free automatically.

Use 2 of each of these 5 coupons (10 total) found here, here, here, here, & here (you should be able to print them twice each) for the Cheerios.

Use 3 of the .75 off 1 coupons found here or here for the Multigrain Cheerios or Cocoa Puffs.

You're total will then be 8.75 for 13 boxes of cereal and 3 gallons of milk!!

Plus you'll have 3 milk points (you get 9 and you get a free gallon of milk).

*Note, I haven't tried this deal to make sure it would work. I'm not sure if you'll be able to get all 3 milks free in one transaction. If you try this please let us know how it went for you! Thanks!!

Bigg's - Cereal and Milk Deal

I found a pretty good deal at Bigg's this week (9/8):

Buy 4 boxes of select General Mills Cereal and get a free gallon of milk at checkout. The included varieties of cereal are:

• Regular Cheerios
• Apple Cinnamon Cheerios
• Multigrain Cheerios
• Cocoa Puffs
• Wheaties
• Golden Grahams
• Kix

The cereal is priced at 4 for $8.00. Click here for coupons for the Regular Cheerios (.55 off 2), Multigrain Cheerios (.75 off 1) and Cocoa Puffs (.75 off 1). And click here for coupons for Kix (.75 off 1). If you buy 4 cereals that have .75 off 1 coupons, you will spend only 5.00 for 4 boxes of cereal and 1 gallon of milk. Not too bad!!

I believe, as you ring up your milk and cereal, the milk will automatically come off. It doesn't say if you can do it more than once per transaction, I guess you'll just have to try it and see. It says it excludes chocolate milk.

I called the Bigg's in Mason to be sure they take internet coupons and they said they do, so hopefully that's true for all locations!

Bigg's - My trip for the $5 meat deal

If you haven't gone to Bigg's yet for the great meat deal, what are you waiting for??? I stopped in yesterday, just to see if it was really as good as it seemed and sure enough it was even better than I hoped.

In five transactions (you can only do one deal per transaction) I got the following:

7 one pound packages of ground beef

5 one pound packages of Tyson boneless skinless chicken breasts

5 Mrs. T's pierogies

and I only paid $7.42 for all of it!!

The $5 off meat just automatically comes off as you scan them in the register.  It's so easy!!  I used 1.00 off coupons for the pierogies (you have to buy one box of Mrs. T's Quick Ones pierogies per order to get the $5 off).  The coupons are from the 3/16 and 6/1 Valassis inserts. 

 Also, the chicken breasts were almost at their sale by dates so they had 2.00 coupons stuck to them.  It was an awesome deal.  I went again this morning and did two transactions (I used the self-scan aisles, everything worked wonderfully and it was quick) and got today 2 more packages of ground beef and 2 packages of pork chops.  I still have several more coupons so I'll be going again this weekend for sure!!  The deal runs through Sunday!!

Even if you don't have coupons it's still a great deal because you buy the $2 pierogies and get $5 off the meat.  So when you pay $2 you can get a box of pierogies and $5 worth of meat!  That's still an awesome deal!!

Bigg's - Mrs. T's Pierogies and $5 off meat

This is my first post for Bigg's!  I had to post it because it's so good!!  I don't know a whole lot about shopping at Bigg's because I haven't done it very much.  I know that they don't double coupons which is probably why I have chose to shop at other stores mostly.  However if you have a $1 coupon for something, like in this case, you can still get good deals!!  So I will start scouring the Bigg's ad for great deals to share!!

Here's the deal:

Buy a Mrs. T's Quick Ones (pierogies) for 2.00 and receive $5 off any fresh meat purchase instantly at checkout!!  Plus we got coupons for 1.00 off the Quick Ones yesterday in the 6/1 Valassis insert.  So you pay $1 for the pierogies and get $5 off any fresh meat purchase instantly!  That seems like a great deal!  I'll be checking that one out for myself!!

I just saw in yesterday's newspaper that the Bigg's at Cincinnati Mills is closing and they are liquidating their inventory.  It says in the ad that grocery prices are up to 75% off!!
