Coupons - Week of 8/3

There should be 3 inserts (1 Smartsource, 1 Redplum & 1 P&G) in the newspaper this Sunday 8/3.  Plus there should be a special Kellogg's insert as well.  With all of that making it a pretty good coupon week!  Let's hope the stores have good sales to go along with them!!    Here's a list of some of the featured brands:

I think I'm going for 10 papers this week.  Since it's a new month, I don't know if UDF will still be .99, but it's worth a check.  If not, I'll try Kroger, then Meijer.  I usually find it at one of those places.

And remember, coupons can vary from newspaper to newspaper or can be omitted completely.

CVS, Office Max & Staples - My Shopping Trip 7/30

I finally got out and did a little bit of shopping, here's a few of the things I got:

I went to CVS this week after not going for a little while and I found one of the deals to work out pretty well.  I got:

4 packages of Stayfree pads (4.50 each) = 18.00
1 Johnson's Bedtime Baby Wash = 3.99
Total = 21.99
I used two buy one get one free coupons for the Stayfree from the 6/29 Redplum = -9.00
I used one 1.00 off 1 Johnson's product from the 4/27 Redplum = -1.00
I paid 11.99 in ECB's and a few cents in cash and got back $10 ECB's.  So I only "paid" (used ECB's) 1.99 for all that stuff.  I am very happy with that!!

I also visited Office Max and got 3 packs of their brand crayons @ .01 each and 3 mini Sharpie highlighters @ .05 each for a total after tax of .19!

And I ran into Staples and got 2 of the little pencil holders @ .01 each for a total of .02!

I am pretty much stocked up on school supplies at this point and am now just saving them for gifts or donations!  I love the .01 sales!

Walgreens - $5 off $20 (7/31 Only)

There's a new Walgreen's coupon!  Go here and get your own $5 off $20 coupon!!  This is only good today 7/31.  It has been my experience that he $20 total has to be after any other coupons, but I think others have been able to use it before coupons.  I guess it's the manager or cashier's decision.

Coupons - All You Magazine, August 29th Issue

I just heard that the August 29th issue of All You Magazine (found at Wal-Mart) has the same Kraft coupons that we got from Meijer tearpads.  The ones where you get either Kraft dressing, Wheat Thins Crackers, Oscar Mayer hotdogs or Crystal Light free when you buy 3 other Kraft or Nabisco products.  Each magazine should have all 4 of those coupons in it!  The magazine is just a little under $2 if I remember correctly.  I checked the Mason Wal-Mart yesterday and they did not have this issue out yet, but hopefully soon!  There's also many other coupons inside it.  It's really a great magazine for coupons.

Meijer - Deals Found by Amy! (Edited)

I'm having a slow week in blogger world, but that only means I'm having a busy week in the real world! My son has some sort of stomach virus, my husband is going out of town tomorrow and we are starting our homeschooling back up next week and I have some planning to finish for that. So with all that being said, I'm trying to keep up with posts, but I haven't found a whole lot to post about right now. I did however, get an awesome comment from Amy and thought it was so good I'd just share it will all of you! So here it is:

"I wanted to share this great news on the Meijer $10 hanes deal!

It says that ALL Nabisco products are included AND there are $1 off Nabisco crackers on the meijer mealbox site!

WOW!!!

So, you can get 5 boxes of triscuits or Ritz which are on sale for $2, pay $5 after coupons and get the $10 hanes deal!!!
or get cookies for a little more.

Today I got
1 of the choc chip cookies $2
1 Oreos (not on sale but $2.77, i wanted them LOL)
- 75c off 2, doubled to $1
1 ritz bitz PB ($2 each)
1 ritz bitz cheese
- 75c/2 doubled to $1
and 2 pkgs of Ritz Whole Wheat $2 each
- $1 each from the mealbox site
So i paid $6.77 for 6 boxes of nabisco stuff, 2 packs of socks and one pk of underwear!

Edited to say that I got an email that alerted me to the fact that the Mealbox coupons now say 1 per transaction.  So this above deal wouldn't work like it says.  That's such a bummer.  I think you could still use more than one Mealbox coupon in a transaction, they just can't be the same coupon.  But you could use one Mealbox coupon for the Nabisco crackers and then two 1.00 off 2 coupons from the 7/27 inserts for the cookies and the deal would still be really good!

One word of caution... the Hanes deal is kinda specific. It says on "Hanes Basic" so I didnt risk getting the Thomas underwear or anything fancy for my son. The Tylersville store had a center aisle of socks and underwear.
(underwear had a 6 pk with a free pair , so 7 in the pack)

AND it is only on 3 pkgs - you get $3.33 or 3.34 off of each package.

I bought 2 pks of socks for $2.99 each and underwear for $4.59 (?) and i didnt get the total $10. I got the socks for free and $3.34 off the underwear. No biggie. It is only 68c. I am not gonna complain!

There were a lot of other meijer sales still going on too. Here are some I remember...
B1G1 on Tyson IQF bags of chicken
breasts.
McCain frozen potatoes, sweet potatoes fries, etc are still on sale for $1.99
Silk milk is on sale for $2.50

AND buy $10 worth of Kelloggs get $10 off a backpack.
They didnt have any backpacks my son wanted so i didnt do the deal, but they had several backpacks for $12-13.

oh and there's a $10 off $75 in their ad at the front of the store.
I left with $80 worth of stuff at maijer prices for $50 after coupons and that would have probably eASILY cost me $100 at kroger."

Thanks so much Amy!! Your comments are a huge blessing to me tonight as I'm trying to get it "all" done! Thanks again!

Coupons - Clean Home Journal

If you haven't signed up with Clean Home Journal yet, you should.  This is a great website that sends you coupons via email.  They also send cleaning tips and advice.  I signed up and have gotten several emails lately and all of them contained a coupon I could print.  I just thought I'd share it with you!

Kroger - Deals for 7/28

Here's the Cincinnati area Kroger deals for the week of 7/28:

Well, it's official, the Mega Event is going on another week.  You can click here to see the enormous list of items included as well as coupons to go with them.  Here's a few new deals to note:

Softsoap handsoap is priced at 1.50, then if included in the mega event (buy 10 get $5 off your order), they'll be 1.00.  Use the .35 off 1 coupon from the 7/27 Smartsource insert to get those for .30 after the coupon doubles

Speedstick and Teen Spirit Deodorants are priced at 1.50 then after the mega event, will be 1.00.  Use the 1.00 off 2 coupon from the 7/27 Smartsource insert to pay 1.00 for 2 which is .50 each.

Irish Spring 3pk soaps are also priced at 1.50 and will then be 1.00 after the mega event price.  Use the .30 off 1 coupon from the 7/27 Smartsource insert to pay .40 each for the 3 packs after the coupon doubles!

If you're buying milk anyway, you can use the coupon for 1.00 off milk when you buy 1 Welch's Jam or Jelly.  The Welch's is also part of the mega event and is priced at 2.00, then 1.50 after the mega event price.  The coupon says it's good for any one container of milk, so if you get the half gallons at probably around 1.50 you can buy:
one 1/2 gallon of milk = 1.50
one welch's jam = 1.50 (if included with 9 other participating products)
total = 3.00
use 1.00 off coupon
pay 2.00 for both milk and jam

And not included in the mega event:

Kroger dozen eggs (medium) are 1.00

Please feel free to share any other deals you find!

Coupons- USA Weekend 7/27

Don't throw out your USA weekend inserts in the paper today (7/27).  There are extra coupons in there this week.  I found coupons for Prilosec, John Frieda hair products and Curel.  I have heard of some areas getting more than that even, including Johnson's baby products.  So be sure to check yours out!

Meijer - Deals for 7/27

Here's the deals for the Cincinnati area Meijer's for the week of 7/27 - 8/2

Superpretzels are half price, that makes them 1.39 each.  Use the 1.00 off 2 coupon from the 5/11 Redplum insert to get two for 1.79 which is .89 each.   Also, use the .75 off 1 Pretzelfils coupon to get those for .39 each.

They are running a special where when you buy $10 worth of Nabisco products, you can get $10 worth of Hanes products (up to 3 packages) free.  This is good this week because:

*Nabisco Chips Ahoy cookies are on sale for 2.00.
*We got a coupon today (7/27) for .75 off 2 Nabisco cookies
*Hanes socks kid sizes are on sale for 2.99 and adult sizes start at 4.49

So today I got:
5 packages of cookies = 10.00
2 packs of kids socks = 5.98
1 pack of adult socks = 4.49
I used two .75 off 2 coupons (doubled to 1.00) = -2.00
I got $10 off for the socks
So I paid 8.47 for 5 packages of cookies and 3 packs of socks!

The Meijer Mealbox site has added some new coupons and taken some others off.  Be sure to check there and see if there's anything you can use for your shopping trip this week.

That's all I see for now.  It's another slow week at Meijer.  Hopefully it'll pick up soon!   Please feel free to share anything you find and I'll try to find more deals as well!

They price dropped the Meijer brand graham crackers to 1.89. If you use the 1.00 off 1 coupon found at the Mealbox site, they'll only be .89.

And don't forget there are coupons there for Meijer brand frozen fries, ice cream, sour cream, baking chips, pasta sauce, olive oil, etc.. that you could use for good deals if you have those items on your shopping list this week.

Meijer has joined a new coupon service called EZ-Pics. Basically it's like the coupons loaded on your card at Kroger, except at Meijer, you don't need a card, they just come off automatically when you purchase the correct products.

Right now the product available is Malt-O-Meal Cereal. These are priced at 1.99. The EZ-Pic coupon you get is buy two get two free. Once the cashier rings in the 4th one, two 1.99 prices will automatically come off, leaving 3.98 for the total. Plus if you click here you can find 1.00 off 1 coupons to print for these cereals. You can print 2 of each coupon for a total of 6 coupons. It appears that you can stack these coupons with the EZ-Pic coupons, meaning that you can still use 4 paper coupons. So using the 4 coupons, all four bags of cereal will be free!

Kroger - Pledge

Today I stopped by Kroger to get a few things for the weekend and decided to get 10 items included in the Mega event.  Well I chose to get 4 cans of Pledge furniture polish and used 2 buy one get one free coupons.  They are priced at 3.00 before the discount and then 2.50 after the discount.  But the coupons take off the whole 3.00.  So here's what I did

I bought 4 Pledge + 6 other included items
Pledge total = 12.00
I used 2 buy one get one free coupons = -6.00
I got .50 off each one for the mega event = -2.00
So I paid 4.00.
Then to my surprise, two coupons printed out for 2.00 off your next order from buying the Pledge.  So I got a total of 4.00 off my next order!!  So I guess when you buy 2 you get a $2 coupon.  That makes the Pledge an awesome deal.  Now I can turn around and use those 2 coupons to pay nothing for the Pledge next time and get two more coupons!  Yay!!

For more info on the Mega event, click here.

Meijer - Electrasol and Bic Comfort 3

Here's a couple of more Meijer deals for this week.

Electrasol dishwashing tablets are on sale for 2.99 at Meijer this week.  Use the 2.25 off 1 coupon from the 7/13 Smartsource to get them for .74 each.

Also the Bic Comfort 3 disposable razors are on sale for 3.00.  Use the 2.00 off 1 coupon from the 7/20 Smartsource to get them for 1.00 each.

Meijer - Malt-O-Meal Cereal

Does that make sense?  I hope so!  Basically, just print out the coupons, take them to the store, pick 4 bags of cereal priced at 1.99 each.  Give the cashier the 4 coupons and walk out with 4 free bags of cereal!!

Meijer - Graham Cracker and Mealbox Coupons

I saw today while at Meijer that they price dropped the Meijer brand graham crackers to 1.89.

*Note they took off the coupons for the pasta, frozen veggies and family size salty snacks.  Hopefully they'll put those valuable coupons back on soon, I know they helped save my family a lot of money!

Wal-Mart - Huggies Cleanteam Wipes

This past Sunday (7/20) we got coupons for the $3.00 off 2 Huggies Clean Team Wipes.  At Wal-Mart they have 45 count packs for 1.64.  So when you buy 2 and use the coupon you'll only pay .28 total!  These packs are not in the baby section, they are over in the Health and Beauty section of the store, where they have some baby shampoos and wipes.

By the way, did anyone have trouble finding coupons this week?  I ended up visiting 4 different UDF's and getting no coupons there and having to finally go to Kroger where I found the coupons but had to pay 1.50.  I was just so relieved to find them, that I didn't care to pay more!!  How strange was that?

Kroger - More Deals for the Mega Event

Ok, I went out to Kroger last night and found a couple of more deals to add to the Mega event they are having.  (More info on the Mega event is found here).

*Tropicana Coastal Groves Lemonade is priced at 2.00.  It's 1.50 when you buy this in conjunction with 9 other participating items.  Plus we have a 1.00 off 1 coupon from the 6/8 Redplum that would make this only .50 after coupon and discount.

*Ballpark Franks are priced at 2.00.  So, 1.50 after the deal and then I found blinkie coupon machines in the case right by the hotdogs with coupons for 1.00 off 2.  So if you buy two you'd end up paying 2.00 which is 1.00 a piece.

Surprisingly the Daisy Sour Cream and Frank's Red Hot Sauces that are included in the deal are the bigger size.  I'm used to getting those free, but in the smaller size, so this was an awesome deal!  Oh and the free Advil is just awesome!!  I ended up spending 11.xx and saving 86.xx which was a 90% savings!  Please feel free to share any other deals you find at Kroger this week.  I believe this sale runs until 8/3.

Kroger has price dropped (clearanced) the smaller packs of Healthy Ones lunchmeat to 1.19. So when you use the . 75 off 1 coupon from the 5/4 Smartsource insert, they're only .19.!

Also, go here and load the coupon for 1.00 off any 1 Gillette body wash and use the 1.00 off 1 coupon from the 7/6 P&G insert on the small trial sizes of these (they are found hanging in a little display in the aisle around the health and beauty stuff). The first will actually give you 1.00 overage and any other coupons you have will be free! These coupons will work on trial size because it says "any" and I used them already and they didn't beep!

Meijer - Another Awesome Shopping Trip 7/16

Guess how much I paid for all of this???

Just .75!!  That's right people, only 3 quarters for all this food!!  How'd I do it, well here's the breakdown.  First I'll list the things I bought, then I'll list the coupons I used:

18 packets of Kool-Aid.  Paid 3.60
4 bottles of Kraft dressing.  Paid 6.67
1 box of Wheat Things.  Paid 2.50
1 package of Oscar Mayer hotdogs.  Paid 1.50
2 Franks Red Hot sauces.  Paid 2.00
2 Dole 7-Lettuce salad bags.  Paid 2.79 (they were buy one get one free)
1 cut of Watermelon.  Paid .91
Total = 19.97

I used:
-$4 off your next order coupon that I got previously doing the Kraft dressing deal (buy 4 get a catalina for $4 off your next order)
-one .55 off the Dole salad (this one didn't double for some reason, but I'm not complaining!), this was from the 5/18 Smartsource insert.
-two .50 off 1 coupons for the Frank's Red Hot sauce.  Both doubled to 1.00 off.
-two 1.00 off produce when you buy 2 Kraft Dressings.
-four free Kraft dressing when you buy 3 other Kraft products coupons.  Total savings 6.67.
-one free Wheat Thins when you buy 3 other Kraft products.  Total savings 2.50.
-one free Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs when you buy 3 other Kraft products.  Total savings 1.50.  (that's why I bought 18 Kool-Aid's, because they count as the "3 other Kraft products" for all these great coupons!!)
So total coupon savings = 19.22

For a grand total out of pocket of only .75!

And if that wasn't enough, I got another $4 off your next order coupon to use next time!!!

I know I told you guys about these deals already, but I just wanted to show you just how awesome those coupons really are!!!  This was from the Fields Ertel Meijer and they STILL had tearpads with coupons on them, so you can still go out there and get these great deals!!

Kroger - Healthy Ones, Franks & Gillette

I found that Kroger has price dropped (clearanced) the smaller packs of Healthy Ones lunchmeat to 1.19.  So when you use the . 75 off 1 coupon from the 5/4 Smartsource insert, they're only .19.!

Also, in case you missed the comments:

When you go here to print the French's mustard coupons to get it free at Kroger, also print the Frank's Red Hot coupons to get them free either at Kroger (not sure of the price there) or Meijer (definitely 1.00, so free).

Thanks to Lura and Amy for help with those deals!!

Meijer - Kraft Dressing & Other Products Deal

I found a sweet deal tonight at Meijer!  I went in to get more M&M's ice cream treats (I just can't beat the price!!) and also wanted to do the Kraft dressing deal again.  Well I found as I walked down the big main aisle, a display on an aisle endcap that had tearpads with several different coupons on it.  They are all for get one free product (Kraft dressing, Oscar Mayer hotdogs, Wheat Thins and Crystal Light) when you buy 3 other Kraft, Nabisco or Oscar Mayer products.  Holy Smokes!!  So this is what I got, in addition to the M&M's ice cream treats:

4 Kraft Dressings = 6.67
12 Kool-Aid packets = 2.40
5 bananas = 1.19
1 head of broccoli = .99
Total = 11.25
I used 4 of the get a free Kraft dressing coupons = -6.67
I also used two of the get 1.oo off produce when you buy 2 Kraft dressings (these all worked and did not beep!!), that I mentioned before were on another tearpad in the center of the big main aisle.  = -2.00
So I paid 2.58 and then got back another $4 off your next order catalina!!  How great is that!!

I used a previously earned $4 catalina for the ice creams, plus the 1.00 off 1 coupons from the boxes.  I was so excited when I saw those coupons.  Don't worry I left plenty out my local Meijer (Fields-Ertel), but they'll probably go fast, so even if you don't have time to shop, you may want to run into your Meijer and see if you can find them!!

I've heard a few people have also found these coupons at Wal-Mart.  We maybe should check all grocery stores we visit!!

Meijer, CVS & Office Depot - My Shopping Trip 7/13

Here's the details of my shopping trips from today (7/13).  I went to two different Meijers, Office Depot and CVS.  Anything new I'll highlight in purple.  First is Meijer:

1st Trip:

*10 Powerades.  Sale price .88.  Used the 1.00 off 1 coupon from 7/13 Smartsource.  Paid 0.
*2 Frank's Red Hot Sauces.  Sale price .99.  Use the .50 off 1 coupon from the 5/18 Smartsource.  Paid 0.
*I did the Kraft Dressing deal that I talked about here.  I got 4 Dressings.  Sale priced 6.67 total.  I used two 1.00 off 2 coupons from the 6/15 Smartsource.  PLUS, I found in the big open aisle that runs along the front of the other grocery aisles, a display for the dressings with tear off coupons for 1.00 off produce.  So I used two of those as well, but I'll subtract the coupons from the price of the produce listed below.  So I paid 4.67 for the dressings, and got a $4 catalina (coupon that prints out at the register) back to use on my next order.
*5 different Meijer brand canned beans.  Sale price 2.50.
*1 Aunt Millies loaf of bread.  Sale price 1.00
*2 Daisy Sour Creams.  Sale priced .99.  Used the .50 off 1 coupons from the 6/1 Redplum insert.  Paid 0.
*1 package of strawberries.  Sale price 1.34.
*1.36lbs of grapes.  Sale price (.88 per lb) 1.20.
*.72 lbs of peaches.  Sale price (.99 per lb) .71.
*1 head of broccoli.  Sale price 1.67.
*1 head of lettuce.  Sale price .99.
*.77 lb of tomatoes.  Sale price (1.49 per lb) 1.15.
*1.94 lbs of bananas.  Sale price (.59 per lb) 1.14.
*Produce total = 8.20.  Used two of the 1.00 off produce when you buy 2 Kraft dressings coupons.  Paid 6.20.
*1 Welch's 100% juice.  Priced at 3.09. (Husband's drink for the week!!)
*1 Chicken Noodle Soup.  Priced at .68.
*2 packages of Healthy Ones lunchmeat (turkey and ham).  Sale priced 1.79.  Used two .75 off 1 coupons from the 5/4 Smartsource.  Paid 1.58 total
*3 packages of M&M's ice cream treats.  Sale priced 2.29.  I used coupons for 1.00 off 1 that I clipped from the packages the last time they had this deal.  (Check the ones they are selling now, they have coupons inside too!!).  Paid 3.87 total.

So I paid 24.16 for 61.61 worth of groceries, for a savings of 61%.  I'm happy with that considering I got all the produce and the 100% juice.

2nd trip:

*4 Kraft dressings.  Sale priced 6.67 total.  I used two 1.00 off 2 coupons.  Paid 4.67.
*5 M&M's ice cream treats.  Sale priced 11.45 total.  I used five 1.00 off 1 coupons that I clipped from other boxes.  Paid 6.45.
*3 Frozen Snicker Bar treats.  Sale priced 1.99.  I used three 1.00 off 1 coupons that I clipped from the M&M's boxes as well.  Paid 2.97 total.
*1 package of baby carrots.  Paid .99
*.89lbs of Pink Lady apples.  Paid (1.69 per lb) 1.50.
*Produce total = 2.49.  I used two of the 1.00 off produce when you buy 2 Kraft dressing coupons.  Paid .49 total.
*Plus I used the 4.00 off coupon I got from the first order.

I paid 10.58 for 44.13 worth of groceries, for a savings of 76%.  Plus I got another $4 off your next order catalina for next time!!

CVS trip:

1st order:
*1 38 dose jar of Benefiber.  Priced at 9.49.
*1 62 dose jar of Benefiber.  Priced at 12.99.  I used 2.00 off 1 coupons from the 6/22 Smartsource insert (there's also some in today's (7/13) insert as well) for both of those.
9.49 + 12.99 = 22.48.   -4.00 (two 2.00 off 1 coupons), -$3 off $15 found here.  Total = 15.48.  I used 14.48 in ECB's and 1.07 in cash and got back 10.00 in ECB's.

2nd order:
*1 4x6 photo book.  Sale priced at 3.99
*2 6x8 photo books.  Sale priced at 7.99.  I used two 3.o0 off 1 coupons from the 6/8 Smartsource.
3.99 + 7.99 + 7.99 = 19.97.  -6.00 (two 3.00 off 1 coupons), - $3 off $15 coupon.  Total = 10.97.   I used 10.97 in ECB's.  I got back 19.97 in ECB's.

So for the two orders, I paid 25.45 in ECB's and 1.07 in cash (=26.52) and got back 29.97 in ECB's!!  So I'm ahead 3.45!!

And finally, Office Depot:

*20 pocket folders.  Sale priced .01 each.  Paid .20.
*5 plastic rulers.  Sale priced .01 each.  Paid .05.
*5 plastic protractors.  Sale priced .01 each.  Paid .05.
*10 packs of 10ct eraser caps.  Sale priced .01 each.  Paid .10.  (My husband got me five more in another line, the limit is 5 per customer).

So I paid a total of .40 for all of it!!

So my total for the day in cash spent = 36.21 for all that stuff!!  I'm pretty happy with that!!
